Wingtra’s flagship drone the WingtraOne VTOL, is an easy-to-use mapping drone that delivers consistent, high-quality survey data faster and at a lower cost than other surveying tools. The startup’s second-generation drone is called the WingtraOne Gen II, which can create survey-grade 2D and 3D maps with RGB cameras.
Wingtra’s drones is used by hundreds of businesses and organizations in 96 countries, including NASA, Texas A&M University, The Ohio State University, CEMEX, Rio Tinto, Army Corps of Engineers, and Kenya Red Cross. In total, the company’s drones make more than 100,000 flights each year and have mapped 18 million acres of land and sea.
Wingtra is backed by Verve Ventures, Credit Suisse Entrepreneur Capital, EIC Fund, ACE & Company, DiamondStream Partners, Zürcher Kantonal Bank, EASME, EquityPitcher Ventures, and others. The company raised $22M in a Series B round on Mar 20, 2023. This brings Wingtra's total funding to $41M to date.
