The company raised CAD $114M in new financing on Oct 14, 2020. This brings Wealthsimple's total funding to CAD $380.9M to date. The round values the company at CAD $1.4B pre-money. Wealthsimple has also acquired ShareOwner and SimpleTax to date.

 

Wealthsimple has received many awards and accolades. In 2015, Product Hunt Toronto honored Wealthsimple with its first-ever Product of the Year Award. In 2016, the 20th Annual Webby Awards named Wealthsimple its Best Financial Services/Banking website. Wealthsimple was also ranked 29th on the 2017 Fintech100 List.
