Wandelbots

Wandelbots is a revolutionary tool that makes it possible to train, reprogram and provide data for any robot in the shortest possible time.

Wandelbots enables non-programmers to teach industrial robots faster and cheaper using smart clothing.

Wandelbots was co-founded in 2017 by Christian Piechnick, Georg Püschel, Maria Piechnick, Jan Falkenberg, Giang Nguyen, Sebastian Werner and Christoph Biering. The company is headquartered in Dresden, Sachsen, Germany.

Wandelbots is dedicated to making it easier for non-programmers to “teach” industrial robots how to do specific tasks.

Wandelbots has developed TracePen, supposedly the world’s first ‘no code’ handheld device that lets humans teach robots how to perform industrial tasks. TracePen’s teaching method is up to 70 times faster and a fraction of the cost compared to traditional programming methods.

Wandelbots already has some big-name clients, including industrial giants like Volkswagen, BMW, Infineon and others. The company’s technology has the potential to save anyone who makes use of industrial robots many months of programming time, and the associated costs.

Wandelbots is backed by 83North, Next47, Microsoft’s M12, EQT Ventures, Paua Ventures and others. The company raised $30M in Series B round on June 16, 2020. This brings Wandelbots' total funding to $38.2M to date.
