Trigo Vision is a computer vision startup reshaping the retail experience. The company is building checkout-free grocery purchasing systems specifically targeted at large supermarkets.
Trigo works with supermarkets to provide cameras, sensor fusion technology, 3D computer vision, and required cloud-based computational power to map shop floors and track consumers as they move around.
Trigo was founded in 2018 by Michael Gabay & Daniel Gabay and is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
trigo’s network of ceiling-mounted cameras sees what no other system can see. It creates a 3D image of the shop-floor environment, and map the movement of every object as consumers shop. Trigo's proprietary algorithms and neural networks enable a frictionless shopping experience, where consumers can enter the store, pick and leave.
Trigo’s first client was Israeli supermarket chain Shufersal, which will be installing the technology in some 280 stores over the next five years.
Trigo is backed by Red Dot Capital, Vertex Ventures Israel, Hetz Ventures and others. The company raised $22M in its latest "Series A" financing on Sep 16, 2019. This brings Trigo's total funding to $29M to-date.
