TouchBistro

TouchBistro is an iPad-based restaurant point-of-sale system enabling owners to manage reservations and take orders instantly.

TouchBistro's app supports tableside ordering, custom restaurant layouts, custom menus, bill splitting, sales reports, and an unlimited number of order and cash register printers. It is available from the iTunes store.

TouchBistro was founded in 2011 by Alex Barrotti, Geordie Konrad. The company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario with an additional office in New York, New York.

TouchBistro's single entry system reduces errors and increases efficiency. Menu items can be presented in vibrant color with every detail captured. Menus can be quickly and easily updated and even published to the Web, providing more dynamic impact than a traditional menu can provide.

TouchBistro is the top grossing Food and Beverage iTunes app in over 34 countries. It does not require an Internet connection, communicating with printers/cash drawers via local WIFI. They also offer a Kitchen Facing Display and a Customer Facing Display.

TouchBistro is backed by investors including OMERS Growth Equity, Barclays Bank, RBC Ventures, BMO Capital Partners, Napier Park Global Capital, JP Morgan Chase & Co., BDC Venture Capital, & OMERS Ventures among others. The company raised a whooping CDN$158M ($119.1M) from its latest "Series E" financing on Sep 18, 2019. This brings TouchBistro's total funding to $224.4M to-date.

TouchBistro partnered with PayPal to facilitate restaurant payments via smartphones in August, 2013.
