Synctera

Synctera is a Banking as a Service (BaaS) company powering the future of finance: accounts, cards, payments, lending, and more.

Synctera help companies acquire customers, deepen customer relationships, and access new revenue streams by launching innovative banking products in the United States.

Synctera was co-founded in 2020 by Peter Hazlehurst, Kris Hansen and Dominik Weisserth. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California, with an office in Toronto, Ontario.

Synctera’s end-to-end BaaS platform enables companies of all sizes to build and launch FinTech apps and embedded banking products faster, more easily, and at a significantly lower cost compared to building in-house or with multiple vendors and partners.

Synctera's flagship products include ACH-as-a-Service, enabling community banks to execute ACH payment instructions on behalf of their FinTech partners, and Ledger-as-a-Service, allowing FinTechs to outsource ledger functionality to Synctera.

Synctera is currently working with 50 fintechs — 14 of which are live, including Wayapay and Float. It has another 20+ in implementation slated for launch in March and April. Synctera is also partnering with National Bank of Canada to help companies build and launch FinTech apps and embedded banking products in Canada.

Synctera is backed by Fin VC, Mastercard, Lightspeed Venture Partners, NAventures, Gaingels, Diagram Ventures, SciFi Ventures, Scribble Ventures, The Banc Funds, Veritex Community Bank, Midland States Bank, Emigrant Bank, and others. The company raised $15M in a new round on Mar 09, 2023. This brings Synctera's total funding to $60.4M to date.
