Sisense's acquistion Periscope Data, gives the company a 2,000 customers base representing north of $100 million in annual revenue. With this expanded market reach, the new company should be in a better position to take on Tableau Software Inc. and the other publicly traded providers that lead the business intelligence market.
Sisense is backed by prominent investors including Battery Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, DFJ Venture Capital, Genesis Partners, Opus Capital and others. The company raised $100M in a Series F financing on Jan 09, 2020. This brings Sisense's total funding to $274M to date. The round gives the company a $1B valuation. Sisense has also acquired Periscope Data in May 14, 2019.
