SafetyCulture was founded in 2004 by Luke Anear. The company is headquartered in Surry Hills, NSW, with offices in Townsville, QLD; Manila; Amsterdam; Manchester; and Kansas City, Missouri.

 

SafetyCulture’s app helps companies create checklists, conduct inspections, raise and resolve issues, and manage their assets. It also offers tools for checking in with remote workers and monitoring maintenance on physical assets.

 

Safetyculture also added new features and additional offerings like business insurance and a marketplace for workplace equipment and PPE, which will also allow the platform to be used by a much broader cross-section of workers. The company also recently launched new function for asset management.

 

SafetyCulture claims to host over 4 million users across 70K companies on its platform in more than 180 countries. Current customers include: Emirates,  Coca-Cola, GE, IKEA,  Unilever, BHP Billiton and Accor.

 

SafetyCulture is backed by Index Ventures, Insight Partners, Tiger Global, TDM Growth Partners, Blackbird Ventures, Skip Capital, Morpheus Ventures, Marbruck Investments, and others. The company raised AUD $34M ($22M) in a new round on Aug 14, 2023. This brings SafetyCulture's total funding to $244M to date. The latest round pushed the company's valuation to $2.7B, up from its previous $1.6B in a funding raised in May 2021.
