RapidAPI is an API marketplace where developers find and connect to thousands of APIs.
RapidAPI provides the world's largest hub for APIs, enabling developers to easily discover, connect to and collaborate on both internal APIs and third-party API subscriptions.
RapidAPI was founded in 2015 by Iddo Gino. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California, with an office in Tel Aviv, Israel.
RapidAPI’s approach is to create a framework that not only helps you find the API you are looking for, but lets you integrate them more easily by way of a single API key and SDK. It covers both free and paid APIs, and public as well as “private” APIs.
RapidAPI for Teams offers a common workspace for software development teams to publish and collaborate on internal APIs and share public API subscriptions. With RapidAPI for Teams, companies can avoid code and effort duplication, ensure that their APIs produce consistent accurate data and results across platforms and devices, and reduce costs.
RapidAPI's platform now has 20,000 APIs, doubling in the last year, with 1,000 getting added each month. Contributors to its marketplace include Microsoft, Twilio, SendGrid, Nexmo, Skyscanner etc.
RapidAPI is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, DNS Capital, Green Bay Ventures, M12 (Microsoft’s Venture Fund), Grove and others. The company added another $25M to bring the Series B round total to $50M. The additional round also brings the total capital raised to $62.5M to date.
