Provivi is an emerging crop protection company developing a family of safe, effective, and economical pheromone solutions for crop protection.

Provivi is developing a family of safer, effective, and economical solutions for crop protection based on pheromones as a foundation for integrated pest management.

Provivi was founded in 2013 by Dr. Pedro Coelho, Dr. Peter Meinhold, and 2018 Nobel laureate Dr. Frances Arnold. The company is headquartered in Santa Monica, California.

Provivi is a groundbreaking science-based company creating scalable, safer insect control technology that will improve the quality of life for all humans and our world.

Provivi’s patented production method enables a step change in the cost of manufacturing pheromones, allowing use of this proven tool in high-acreage crops such as corn, rice, and soy.

Provivi, in collaboration with BBEPP, scaled up its pheromone production process and part of its downstream processing from 10L to 15,000L. Through this process, a technology transfer package was developed to allow production at commercial scale.

Provivi is backed by Pontifax Agtech, Tybourne Capital Management. Existing investors Kairos Ventures, Spruce Capital, Lanx Capital, BASF Venture Capital and others. The company raised $85M from a Series C financing on Oct 12, 2019.
