PrecisionHawk, originally "WineHawk," was founded in Toronto in 2010 by Christopher Dean and Ernest Earon. The company is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina with another global office in Toronto, Canada and satellite offices around the world.

The company raised $32M in a fresh round of funding on Dec 11, 2019. This brings PrecisionHawk's total funding to $136M to date.

 

PrecisionHawk has also made nearly 10 acquisition including Droners.io, AirVid, Airware, Uplift Data Partners, TerraServer etc.
