Pixxel is getting ready to launch its first Earth imaging satellite later this year, with a scheduled mission aboard a Soyuz rocket. The company aims to deploy up to 30 satellites by 2022, giving them a globe-spanning imaging capabilities on a daily basis, enabling organizations aroun the globe to detect, monitor and predict global phenomena in near real time.


Pixxel will able to provide up-to-date information relevant to climate monitoring, crop yield prediction, urban planning, and disaster response. Using the images gathered by Pixxel's satellites and utilizing its own cutting-edge AI platform & API.


Pixxel is backed by Blume Ventures, Lightspeed India Partners, Techstars, growX ventures and others. The company raised $5M in Seed round on Aug 19, 2020. This brings Pixxel's total funding to $5.7M to date.
