Pivotal Commware

Pivotal is a global leader in 5G mmWave infrastructure products based on Holographic Beam Forming® technology.

Pivotal created the world’s first smart repeater ecosystem based on Holographic Beam Forming® and solved millimeter wave’s (mmWave) most vexing challenges.

Pivotal Commware was founded in 2016 by Brian Deutsch and Eric J. Black. The company is headquartered in Bothell, Washington.

Pivotal’s product ecosystem also includes WaveScape, a network modeling tool; and a platform for remote network management and optimization known as the Intelligent Beam Management System, or IBMS.

Pivotal repeaters use its patented antenna technology, Holographic Beam Forming® for lowest cost, size, weight, and power consumption (C-SWaP). Pivotal Turnkey Services is an end-to-end solution for planning and deploying fixed wireless access (FWA) for Mobile Network Operators.

Pivotal’s product is used by wireless network providers to beef up service in hard-to-reach corners of their service areas, and can provide subscribers with puck-shaped Echo 5G indoor repeaters for an in-home boost.

Pivotal is backed by Gates Frontier Fund, Tracker Capital, Verizon Ventures, Devonshire Investors, DIG Investment, Thermo Companies, Lux Capital, Fortress Investment Group, Blue Investment Group, and others. The company raised $102M in a Series D round on Aug 17, 2023. This brings Pivotal's total funding to $193.7M to date.
