Parrot SA is a France-based company engaged in the field of telecommunications equipment. The Company creates, develops and markets advanced technology wireless products for consumers and professionals.

Parrot develops both the software and the components that are used in portable voice recognition devices, hands-free telephone kits for cars, and voice-activated personal digital assistants.

Parrot was founded in 1994 by Christine/M De Tourvel, Jean-Pierre Talvard and Henri Seydoux. The company has it's headquarter based in Paris, Ile-de-France.

Parrot specializes in technologies involving voice recognition and signal processing for embedded products and remotely controlled flying machines (also known as drones).

Parrot also develops products related to car telephony: Parrot chipsets (including DSP), copyrighted noise reduction and echo cancelling algorithms, Bluetooth software stack, end-user applications (Bluetooth hands free car kits).

 

Parrot has acquired DiBcom, SenseFly, & Inpro Technologiá as well as made three investments totaling over $10M.
