OpenSC is an impact venture that uses advanced technology to enable more sustainable, ethical, and profitable supply chains. It was developed in partnership by the World Wide Fund for Nature Australia (WWF-Australia) and BCG Digital Ventures (BCGDV), the global corporate venture, investment, and incubation arm of Boston Consulting Group.
OpenSC aims to drive increased responsible production and consumption through supply chain traceability and transparency technology.
OpenSC was formed in 2019 and is based in Sydney, New South Wales. OpenSC was co-founded by WWF-Australia (the World Wide Fund for Nature) and BCG Digital Ventures.

OpenSC is focusing its technology platform on building transparency around commodities that are currently known to have significant environmental or human rights risks within their supply chains, such as seafood, timber, and palm oil.
OpenSC’s digital platform, which leverages blockchain and other technologies for tracking food and products, as well as helping people and businesses avoid illegal, environmentally-damaging, or unethical products.
OpenSC has raised a total of $4M in seed funding from strategic impact investors, WWF-Australia (the World Wide Fund for Nature), CG Digital Ventures (BCGDV), Working Capital and Christian Wenger, founder of digitalswitzerland also participated in the investments.
