Neuralink

Neuralink is an American neurotechnology company, developing ultra high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers.

Neuralink has been working on for the last two years. The company will explore how brain interfaces might alleviate the symptoms of dangerous and chronic medical conditions. 

Neuralink was founded in 2016 by Elon Musk and and the founding team (Ben Rapoport, Dongjin Seo, Max Hodak, Paul Merolla, Philip Sabes, Tim Gardner, Tim Hanson, Vanessa Tolosa). The company is based in San Francisco, California.

 

Neuralink is developing the capabilities of the brain through technological augmentation. A "neural lace” would be surgically connected to a human brain and allow a user to interact with a computer without the bandwidth challenges that come with current input methods, including keyboards, mice and trackpads.
