Molekule

Molekule is a science and technology company that designs and manufactures air purifiers that use photoelectrochemical oxidation, a technology may be useful against chemicals, microbes, allergens, and other forms of air pollution.

Molekule’s mission is to eliminate indoor air pollution for everyone, anywhere.

Molekule was founded in 2014 by Dilip Goswami, Yogi Goswami, and Jaya Rao. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Molekule’s patented technology, Photo Electrochemical Oxidation (PECO), a technology may be useful against chemicals, microbes, allergens, and other forms of air pollution. PECO technology destroys a whole range of tiny pollutants, including VOCs, mold, bacteria, viruses and allergens.

Molekule's PECO technology was able to reduce the concentrations of bacteria, viruses, mold, and endospores in the tested air by more than 99.99%. And most recently, Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory, Intertek, found that Molekule's PECO technology was able to reduce 95% of particulate matter .3 microns in size and larger, all signaling PECO's ability to both capture and destroy pollutants.

Molekule is backed by Foundry Group, RPS Ventures, Founder's Circle Capital, Crosslink Capital, Uncork Capital and others. The company raise $58M in a Series C round on Feb 25, 2020. This brings Molekule's total funding to $96.4M to date.
