Kinéis was founded in 2018, as a spin off CLS Group. The company is headquartered in Ramonville-Saint-Agne, Occitanie, France.

Kinéis offers universal, simple, low-power, reliable connectivity at a cost accessible to as many people as possible. It is based on an innovative new satellite constellation of 25 nanosatellites custom developed for IoT. The constellation will be orbited around 2022.

Kinéis has raised €100M in a latest financing on Feb 03, 2020. The investment comes from CLS, CNES, Bpifrance via the fund for Industrial Project Companies (SPI), the ‘Investments for the Future’ Programme and the European Investment Bank, Ifremer, Thales, CELAD, BNP Paribas Développement, HEMERIA and other industrial and financial partners.
