Island created a security-focused browser for enterprise users based on Chromium. The enterprise browser disables functions such as copy and paste and screen-shotting to ensure critical data isn’t exposed outside of an organization and provides secure access for contractors and BYOD workers.

 

Island Enterprise Browser allow security teams to fully control last-mile actions from advanced security demands to more basic data exfiltration protections such as copy, paste, download, upload, screenshots and other activities that might expose critical data.

 

Island has sold over 2 million browsers to customers in all major verticals and segments, and has multiple customers ranking in the top 20 of the Fortune 100.

 

Island is backed by Insight Partners, Sequoia Capital, Georgian, Stripes, Cisco Investments, Prysm Capital, Cyberstarts, Canapi Ventures, and others. The company raised $100M in a Series C round on Oct 23, 2023. This brings Island's total funding to $375M to date. The latest round pushed Island's valuation to $1.5B, up from previous $1.3B gained in Mar 2022.
