Hailo is a startup developing a breakthrough specialized deep learning processor, that empowers intelligent devices with the performance of a data center-class computer, operating in real time at minimal power consumption, size and cost.
Hailo makes specialized deep learning processors to deliver data center performance to edge devices.
Hailo was founded in 2017 by Orr Danon. The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Israel.
Hailo processors enable edge devices to go beyond handling sensors and streaming volumes of data for remote processing–they can do the processing themselves.
Hailo has developed Hailo-8, a chip that enables devices to run algorithms that previously would have required a datacenter’s worth of compute. Hailo-8 could give edge devices far more processing power than before, enabling them to perform AI tasks without the need for a cloud connection.
Hailo is backed by ABB Technology Ventures, NEC Corporation, Latitude Ventures and others. The company raised $60M in a Series B round on Mar 05, 2020. This brings Hailo's total funding to $87.9M to date.
