Global Bioenergies is a biotech company that is developing a process to convert renewable resources into hydrocarbons through fermentation.

Global Bioenergies was initially focused its efforts on the production of isobutene, one of the most important petrochemical building blocks that can be converted into fuels, plastics, organic glass and elastomers.

Global Bioenergies was founded in 2008 by Marc Delcourt and Philippe Marlière and is based in EVRY, Ile-de-France, France.

Global Bioenergies also offers engineering services in gas fermentation process. In addition, the company develops a process to convert gaseous carbon sources and industrial emissions into various valuable chemical compounds.

Global Bioenergies continues to improve the performances of its process, operates an industrial pilot, is completing the construction of its demo plant in Germany, and is preparing its first full-scale plant through a Joint-Venture with Cristal Union, named IBN-One.


Global Bioenergies is backed by CM-CIC Capital Prive & Seventure Partners. The company has acquired on Syngip B.V. Dec 21, 2016.
