Fox Robotics is an autonomous forklift company that develops, manufactures, and sells intelligent autonomous forklift trailer unloaders to reduce forklift operating costs and to automate them.
Fox’s objective is to deploy its forklifts in warehouses and production environments worldwide and to create new autonomous capabilities to broaden use cases.
Fox Robotics was founded in 2018 by Charles DuHadway and Peter Anderson-Sprecher. The company is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
Fox takes a standard lift truck and adds sensors and software to enable self-driving with precise navigation and robust pallet picking and movement. Fox combines the latest in robotics, machine learning, optimization and planning to build automated forklifts that are smart, safe and effective.
Fox's forklifts can be installed and running in a new warehouse in less than a day, compared to the weeks or months that typical AGV's take for integration. With several unloaders, a single operator can unload from 20 to 100 trailers per shift.
Fox has deployed its autonomous forklifts at dozens of customer sites today, including one of the world’s most demanding environments at DHL Supply Chain.
Fox is backed by Menlo Ventures, BMW I Ventures, Zebra Technologies, Eniac Ventures, La Famiglia, SignalFire, Congruent Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, Japan Airlines & Translink Innovation Fund, Foothill Ventures, and others. The company raised $20M in a new round on Oct 27, 2022. This brings Fox Robotics' total funding to $34M to date.
