Forto, formerly known as FreightHub, is a SaaS-based developer for freight business that make data-driven technology solutions and services available to the logistics industry.

Forto was founded in 2016 by Ferry Heilemann, Erik Muttersbach, Michael Wax and Dr. Fabian Heilemannby. The company is headquartered in Berlin and has 11 locations across Europe and Asia including offices in Berlin, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.

 

Forto offers transport services for sea, air and rail freight, built on digitized processes. Through qualified and up‐to‐date data, Forto provides the basis and creates the transparency to simplify the entire process and to increase efficiency in logistics.

 

Forto platform technologies address the entire process stream, from offer, booking, document administration, tracking and tracing to pro-active exemption processing and analysis, supporting our customers with greater visibility, insight, and control.

 

Forto works with more than 2,500 customers worldwide, who use Forto´s solutions to manage and optimize their global supply chains. Some of their customers include Dussmann das KulturKaufhaus, Zero, Home 24, Osann, and Wünsche Group.

 

Forto is backed by SoftBank Vision Fund 21, Citi Ventures, EIB, G Squared, Inven Capital, Cherry Ventures, Northzone, Iris Capital, Cavalry Ventures, Maersk Growth, and others. The company raised $240M in Series C round on Jun 21, 2021. This brings Forto's total funding to $372.5M to date. The new round valued the company at $1.2B post-money.
