Dusty Robotics

Dusty Robotics is a robotics company that ddevelops robot-powered tools for the modern construction workforce.

Dusty Robotics accelerates the construction industry's digital transformation by providing robotic automation services for the job site.

Dusty Robotics was founded in 2018 by Tessa Lau and Philipp Herget. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, California.

Dusty's first product is the Field Printer, a robot that prints out plans on the floor of construction sites. The solution automates the BIM-to-field workflow through a combination of hardware, software, and services that fit seamlessly into existing construction work processes.

Dusty’s FieldPrinter™ solution eliminates one of the most common sources of conflict on construction projects: incorrect hand-drawn layout using a chalk line proces. It ensures that all trades build from the same set of plans, eliminating errors, expediting conflict resolution, and significantly reducing the cost and duration of construction.

Dusty's FieldPrinter is adopted by several dozen contractors, including some of the biggest names in construction: DPR, Swinerton, PARIC, Performance Contracting Inc., and Southland Industries.

Dusty is backed by Scale Venture Partners, Baseline Ventures, Canaan Partners, NextGen Venture Partners, Root Ventures, Cantos Ventures, and others. The company raised $45M in Series B round on May 10, 2022. This brings Dusty's total funding to $68.7M to date.
