Doctolib was founded in Dec 2013 by Jessy Bernal, Steve Abu Rjeily, Ivan Schneider and Stanislas Niox-Chateau. The company is headquartered in Paris, with offices in Berlin and Milan.

Doctolib started out as a booking and scheduling platform and has since expanded its services to include telemedicine, an instant messaging service, and back-office functionalities. 

Doctolib has already added some new SaaS products. In addition to a telehealth add-on, the startup has a product called Doctolib Médecin that can help you centralize documents, see a patient’s history, take notes and issue invoices.

Doctolib's platform used by 300,000 healthcare workers, and over 60 million people have used it in France, Germany and Italy. The startup also works with 250 public hospitals.

Doctolib is backed by General Atlantic, Accel, Eurazeo, Bpifrance, and others. The company raised $549M (€500M) in equity and debt financing on Mar 15, 2022. This brings Doctolib's total funding to $815.7M to date. The latest round valued the company at a $6.4B (€5.8B) post-money. Doctolib was last valued at €1B ($1.1B) from a Series round raised in Mar 2019.
