Cera Care is a provider of healthcare inside people’s homes augmented by a platform that allows carers to monitor a patient’s health and potentially flag problems.
Cera Care was established to allow families to arrange, schedule and manage home care for elderly relatives.
Cera Care was launched in 2016 by Mahiben Maruthappu and Marek Sacha. The company is headquartered in London and has 20 offices across the UK. Cera also has some operations in Germany.
Cera has developed its' own technology to provide high quality, transparent care to hundreds of service users. It's digital platform provides services such as prescriptions home deliveries and nursing care based on data analysis.
Cera nurses perform at-home appointments where patient data is collected and studied by AI algorithms. Cera claims its AI tech can predict patient health deterioration before it occurs and therefore reduce the need for hospitalisation.
Cera has delivered 25+ million at-home care appointments, visiting over 15,000 patients a day. Cera’s technology is also used by over 2,000 care businesses that collectively deliver over 1 million at-home appointments per week.
Cera is backed by Schroders Capital, Jane Street Capital, KairosHQ, Vanderbilt University, Guinness Asset Management, Yabeo Capital, Squarepoint Capital, Oltre Impact, 8090 Partners, and others. The company raised $320M (£263.6M) in equity and debt financing on Aug 04, 2022. This brings Cera's total funding to $410M to date.
