Capital Float, formerly known as Zen Lefin Private Limited, is an online platform that provides working capital finance to SMEs in India.

Capital Float offers flexible, short-term loans that can be used to purchase inventory, service new orders or optimize cash cycles.

Capital Float was founded in 2013 by Gaurav Hinduja and Sashank Rishyasringa. The company is headquartered in Bangalore, with offices in Mumbai, Delhi NCR and other cities.

 

Capital Float leverages technology and big data analytics to deliver innovative credit products to businesses and individuals across the country. Through its proprietary digital loan underwriting and origination expertise, it has been able to deliver financing solutions to vast sections of the economy traditionally underserved by large financial institutions. 

 

Capital Float reaches customers through partnerships with other firms. It’s a lending partner for many popular online platforms including Amazon India, online learning service Unacademy, airline Spicejet, direct-to-consumers lifestyle and electronics brand Boat and travel booking firm MakeMyTrip.

 

Capital Float also has partnerships with payments firm Razorpay to reach small and medium-sized businesses and with Walnut to offer personal finance to customers. Capital Float has amassed over 2.5 million customers. These customers, who make over 2 million purchases a month.

 

Capital Float is backed by Sequoia Capital India, Amazon, Ribbit Capital, Lightrock India, SAIF Partners, Creation Investments, Aspada Investments, and others. The company raised $50M in a new round on Sep 28, 2021. This brings Capital Float's total funding to $200.4M to date.
