Canvas Construction

Canvas Construction, a spinoff of Otherlab, is construction robotics company that is building the future in bold new ways.

Canvas is on a mission to improve the quality and affordability of the places where we live, work, sleep, and play, while simultaneously improving the working conditions of the people who build these spaces.

Canvas was co-founded in 2017 by Kevin Albert, Maria Telleria, and Henrik Bennetsen. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Canvas leverages advancements in collaborative robotics and machine learning to build a new class of tool for the drywall finishing space.

The Canvas system consistently delivers better than Level 5 finishing, the industry hallmark of quality; reduces finishing times; provides a dust-free environment; and helps workers avoid many of the repetitive motions and height requirements that lead to injury.

Canvas has partnered with the local branch of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT). Canvas projects include the Harvey Milk Terminal at SFO, the Wayne and Gladys Valley Center for Vision at UCSF, and the Chase Arena Tower, home of the Golden State Warriors.
