The Boeing Company is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, and satellites worldwide. The company also provides leasing and product support services.
 

Boeing has a very rich history. It was founded in July 15, 1916 by William Boeing. With corporate offices in Chicago, Boeing employs 147,683 (As of Feb 2017) people across the United States and in more than 65 countries.




Boeing is among the largest global aircraft manufacturers; it is the second-largest defense contractor in the world based on 2015 revenue, and is the largest exporter in the United States by dollar value. Boeing stock is a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.



Boeing had a revenue of US$94.571 billion in 2016 and a Net Income of US$4.895 billion, that same year. The company also had a total assets of US$89.997 billion and a total equity of S$877 million in 2016.
