Away has sold millions of travel products, grown from a team of four to over 250, expanded shipping to nearly 40 countries, opened seven stores across two countries, and launched several new products and experiences that are inspiring more people to travel the world.
Away produces and markets a variety of travel accessories, using a direct-to-consumer business model. The company's most well-known products are suitcases with: ejectable batteries for charging devices, scratch-resistant hard polycarbonate shells, YKK zippers, interior organization including a compression pad to make more space, TSA-approved locks, a removable laundry bag and 360 degree Hinomoto spinner wheels.

Away was valued at a $1.4B, in it's latest "Series D" funding of a $100M on May 14, 2019. This brings Away's new total funding to $181M to date.
