Vention was founded in 2016 by Etienne Lacroix. The company is headquartered in Quebec, Canada, with offices in Berlin and Boston.

 

Vention's digital manufacturing automation platform allows clients to design, automate, order, and deploy automated equipment directly from their web browsers. The company launched MachineLogic™, has some key features including robot-path visualization, simultaneous motion, multi-controller programming, and lambda functions.

 

Vention also launched MachineCloud™, a first-of-its-kind software for assisted deployment of industrial automation which enables software-assisted deployment of automated equipment directly from the cloud to the factory floor with step-by-step guidance. Vention also launched a new application, the industrial palletizer, with robotics by FANUC.

 

Vention also elevated its collaborative applications with the new telescopic lift column. The company serves 3,000+ customers on five continents and 25 manufacturing industries, including Universal Robots, FANUC, Doosan Robotics, Groupe MCA, Gimic, Mid Atlantic Machinery, and CIMTEC Automation.

 

Vention is backed by Georgian Partners, Bain Capital, Fidelity Investment Canada ULC, White Star Capital, Real Ventures, White Star Capital, Bolt Ventures, and others. The company raised $95M in Series C round on May 10, 2022. This brings Vention's total funding to $138.8M to date.
