Spruce Finance is the provider of finance for residential solar and energy efficiency improvements that may help homeowners save on power, heating and cooling, and water.

Spruce's mission is to empower consumers to improve their environments. We provide homeowners with simple, affordable financing for residential solar systems, water conservation upgrades and energy efficiency home improvements.

Spruce was founded in 2015 when Clean Power Finance merged with Kilowatt Financial and is led by CEO Nat Kreamer, co-founder of Sunrun. The company is based in San Francisco, California with additional offices in Anaheim, California and Houston, Texas.

Spruce operates its efficiency business in 50 states and its solar business in 25 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Washington.


Spruce backed by investors that include Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Google Ventures (GV), Duke Energy, Edison International, Dominion Resources, and Claremont Creek Ventures.


Spruce has also acquired Kilowatt Financial & Clean Power Finance to date.
