Hungry Harvest

Hungry Harvest is a farm to doorstep produce delivery service that recovers produce - fruits and vegetables that would normally go to waste for cosmetic or logistical reasons - from farms and wholesalers.

Hungry Harvest is on a mission to reduce food waste and fight hunger in the United States.

Hungry Harvest was founded in 2014 by Evan Lutz and John Zamora. The company is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, with offices in Philadelphia, Raleigh, and Miami.

Hungry Harvest rescues fresh fruits, vegetables, and grocery staples that would otherwise go to waste due to surplus or arbitrary, cosmetic standards for size, shape or color at retail.

Hungry Harvest has reduced over 22 million pounds of food waste and donated or subsidized over 1.5 million pounds of produce to partner organizations and through its own food access programs.

Hungry Harvest is backed by Creadev, Danone Manifesto Ventures, Quadia, Maywic Select Investments, Desert Bloom and Jedd Canty. The company closed $13.7M Series A round on Sep 15, 2020. This brings Hungry Harvest's total funding to $14.25M to date.
