Hiber, formerly Magnitude Space, is a global and affordable IoT connectivity via Hiberband, industry leader in the next generation IoT core infrastructure.

Hiber's mission is to make IoT easy, especially in areas where there is no affordable cellular or WiFi connection.

Hiber was founded in 2016 by Erik Wienk, Ernst Peter Hovinga, Coen Janssen, and Maarten Engelen. The company is headquartered in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands.

 

Hiber’s in-house-developed satellite constellation will ensure that it is possible to track and monitor machines and devices for a wide range of IoT solutions in some of the world’s hardest-to-reach places.

 

Hiber’s scaling of the satellite network and innovative IoT solutions will have significant positive impact on some of the biggest issues facing the world today, from eliminating food wastage to reducing the environmental impact of extracting fossil fuels.

 

Hiber is backed by The European Innovation Council Fund (EIC Fund), Eco-​Innovation Initiative, Finch Capital, Hartenlust Group and others. The company raised €26M in new financing on Mar 30, 2021. This brings Hiber's total funding to $43.9M to date.
