Carbon Maps

Carbon Maps is a comprehensive, science-based, data-driven climate management platform for the food industry.

Carbon Maps is on a mission to help the food industry reduce its environmental footprint (carbon emissions, biodiversity, water use, animal welfare).

Carbon Maps was founded in 2023 by Patrick Asdaghi, Jérémie Wainstain, and Estelle Huynh. The company is headquartered in Paris, France.

The Carbon Maps’ SaaS platform enables agri-food industry players to perform rapid, high-precision assessments of the environmental impact of their products and agricultural raw materials.

Carbon Maps' system collects and analyzes data across all stages of the food chain, from farmers to consumers, to calculate a variety of impact indicators. The startup creates models with as many criteria as possible to calculate the impact of each criteria. It uses data from standardized sources like GHG Protocol, IPCC, ISO 14040 and 14044.

Carbon Maps is working with two companies on pilot programs as it’s going to require a ton of work to cover each vertical in the food industry.

Carbon Maps has raised $4.3M (€4M) in a pre-Seed funding round on Feb 20, 2023. The financing was backed by Breega and Samaipata.
