Arrival is an electric vehicle maker that is reinventing both the design and production of electric vehicles for end to end sustainability.

Arrival’s mission is to master a radically more efficient New Method to design, produce, sell and service outstanding electric vehicles, to support a world where cities are free from fossil fuel vehicles.

Arrival was founded in 2015 by Denis Sverdlov. The company is headquartered in London, UK, with offices in Germany, Netherlands, Israel, Russia and the US.

 

Arrival’s in-house technologies enable a unique approach to assembling vehicles using rapidly-scalable, local Microfactories. The produced the first van in a microfactory using in-house technologies, including composite materials, autonomous mobile robots, in-house components and a software defined factory.

 

Arrival is pioneering a decentralized method of making electric vehicles. Arrival’s proprietary composite materials are low cost, strong and lightweight. 50% lighter than steel, yet durable and resistant to damage.

 

Arrival forged a partnership with with UPS, which has placed an order for 10,000 of the company’s electric delivery vans. Arrival is in the process of pivoting its focus to production of its electric vans for U.S.-based customers.

 

Arrival is backed by Hyundai Motor Company, BlackRock, Kia Motors, UPS, Antara Capital Master Fund, Westwood Capital, Vladimir Potanin, and others. The company raised $300M (£246.5M) in a new round on Mar 13, 2023. This brings Arrival's total funding to $979M to date. Arrival completed its IPO through a SPAC merger with CIIC Merger Corp in Mar 2021. The deal valued the company at a $13B.
